VZ handguard

What is the word on the AR stock adaptors? Anyone know? I want to look into one but the vz58.net has shown them "out of stock" for months? When will they be available? You can get them direct, now, but they would still have to be re-turned to imperial standard (not impossible, but a pain none-the-less). I don't want the hassle; so I wait. Any info would be welcome.
A buddy of mine ordered one months ago, but the word he got was "soon." It's been months, and he believes he's been ripped off. I told him that Canadian stuff takes a long time, but even I'm curious as to if it's actually going to be available. Somebody here has to have an inside clue? Anybody speak Czech? If you can get them direct for 65 bucks, then don't worry about Wolvorine; by-pass them. Save money, order online, get what you want. This isn't the 20th Century anymore. You don't have to go to a brick and mortar store to gets stuff anymore. So what if Wolverine has a deal locked up. It's not like you can't by-pass it with a computer and a credit card in 2 mins.

I bought one of these fore ends, and my opinion differs from that expressed by a couple of the posters.
I much prefer the feel of the original forend, and if I could, I would go back to it. The lower part feels clunky and blocky to me.
Still, I am stuck with the lower part, since I want the upper part, and as others have mentioned, it's the only affordable option.

Just a guess but all collapsable and folding stock parts available in the US cannot be exported any longer and it looks like the adapter used the part from Ace. A new source must be found. That parts has its flaws too though.

vz58.net just takes a while.. i got what i have orderd. I am just planning on making my own AR stock adapter, since i bought a kit to finish my 80% lower i have the tap. At the same time the FAB defence folding one is one hell of a beefy product i was suprised how sturdy it is.
What i am really interested in is this. zbrane.cz/Kovove-nadpazbi-detail-zbozi-253.html I wonder if those are milled or if they are plastic.
I've also been trying to order from zbrane for AGES i found one salesman who spoke english but i never heard back from them

Nope, he ordered from an individual who said he had one of the vz58.net adapters on hand. Since vz58.net was out of them he took a chance, but that was 3 months ago. I told him to wait for vz58.net, but he didn't want to because they had been shown as out of stock for so long. His loss for being impetuous, IMO.
As far as me, I want to do business with vz58.net, but I was all set to place an order with the guy, and then never heard from him again. So I've been kind of forced to seek out the individual parts myself. It's do-able, but it's a pain, to be sure. I've found, and bought everything now. I bought a Galil style butt-stock from Zahal, but I would like to have the M4 style collapsible too, so that's what I'm currently sniffing out. If vz58.net gets them in, then cool, but if I can find one sooner, then even better. I wish we could find someone who spoke Czech, and make a group buy. I'm tired of waiting.

Three reasons for barrel rail:
1. Co-witness. I always want to have the option of going irons without touching anything (it's also nice having one back up the other for assurance before making that first shot).
2. I want the RDS to maintain zero all the time. With a barrel mount, the RDS goes where the barrel goes when heating up and cooling down.
3. The rail, although solid is off quite a bit - I could adjust the fast fire to compensate, but, I'd feel like a hack in doing so.
The FastFire is awesome... its' cheap compared to the other RDS of similar design and it's super light. What more can you ask for
*The only crappy thing is that no major US manufacturer makes a nice universal barrel rail, so I've ordered the 'leapers' barrel rail from marstar.
I figure there's not too many ways for a manufacturing company to f-up an item like this, so it should be good to go and robust.
The cool thing is it looks like I will have two height options to pick from so the irons should be centered in the glass.
It should arrive by tomorrow, I'll post pics again with it's mounted.

That rail looks interesting. It would be good if the front were affixed/clamped to the barrel rather than just relying on those tabs. Some clamping device would most likely help retain zero more than the tabs. I'm sure some modification could be done to clamp it. Ok - someone who speaks the language needs to call these guys ASAP.
