VZ on HBO

Since people are discussing VZ's in movies and TV shows. I would like to mention that there are a bunch of VZ-58's in the movie Behind Enemy lines.

The first "Behind Enemy Lines" has a lot of Vz. in it. The supposed "Serbs" usually carry them instead of AK's because the movie was shot in Czech and I suppose they figured the average viewer could not tell the difference.

I got all excited when I realised the 'sniper' at the end of Full Metal Jacket was using a VZ58!

Funny you mention that, I was litterly just watching that movie, and when I saw the rifle come up, I thought something about it wasn't right about it (for an AK), and I was wondering if that was a VZ!

Most users don't look into the details as you do guys. I first didn't realize that the VZ was actually used in "Full Metal Jacket", before I knew about rifles and guns, I though it was just a normal AK. That's because of so many AK variants out there with similar design, it only registered as AK47 in my head at the time.

I noticed the vests they carried are ideal for VZ/CZ858 rigs. any idea what they could be?
I liked the one in Season 2 Episode 8, inside the abandoned soviet tunnels. That was a cool rig/carrier.
