VZ 24 is a beautiful chunk of history, made in Czechoslovakia on original German tooling. They armed the Czech Army before the war and were sold in large numbers to several armies.
If you're going to get a sporter stock for it, do yourself a really big favour and find a full-military stock while you're at it. Most of them were European Walnut but, after the division of Czechoslovakia, the VZ 24 gradually turned into a Kar 98k, one step at a time, as parts ran out. It's pretty much for you to decide what year you want to restore her as!
Markings on the action itself will give you a solid clue as to how to restore it.
They are a nice rifle: solid, reliable, accurate.... and a real chunk of military history.
