I've read internet whisperings that an Ak-47 magazine can be modified to fit a VZ-52/57, has anyone successfully done this? I've got no problem doing any cutting or machining as required, I've got access to a decent tool shop, I just don't want to buy the magazines beforehand without some hope of success....

Rifle arrived in the mail today.
Based on "internet whisperings" (IE: Somone started a project, and never finished it) I have ordered a few stubby Ak-47 mags (I eventually intend to own either an SKS-M or SKS-D so hopefully these won't go to waste), and a few 7.62x39 XCR mags. My latest over time cheque was good for it and then some, so will keep folks updated on progress...
Apparently an AR-15 mag will fit fairly well into the mag well, so I've got high hopes for the XCR mags.
As an aside, does anyone know how the fire arms folks feel about modifying 10rd pistol mags? I actually ordered 5 rd (pinned) mags for the XCR, as they were on sale, but ultimately, if i can make the 5rd mags fit, I would love to make the 10rd mags fit.
