Walked into a local gun story looking for something else, and came across this. A 1955 vz52 SHE that was in need of some love and care. I hummed and ha'd for a while on this and finally said what the hell.
The Bad...
- Lower stock and related metal have been thoroughly sanded and is very rough. Wood could be saved, some metal needs replacing.
- Minor pitting on one spot of the recoil spring cover
- Blueing or paint (whichever it is) has faded on the upper hand guard metal
- Bayonet is missing
- barrel cover (?) under the hand guard has a different serial number
The Good...
- Bore is bright and has strong grooves, appears original
- Upper handguard serial number matches the receiver
- Comes with one magazine, not pictured, getting pinned
- Got 75 rounds of 7.62x45 with it, on stripper clips (said 40 originally, can't do the math apparently)
So.... anyone got any ideas where to find a bayo???
