Cool little rifle. Don't know much about the caliber, but it looks like fun. What was the mag capacity before pinning?

They are 10 rounds. The 7.62x45 was adopted by the czech after ww2 but they later adopted the 7.62x39. The VZ 52 is chambered for the 7.62x45 and later model,VZ52/57 in 7.62x39. They are very heavy rifle for such light caliber but they are built like a tank!

Yup, mag was 10, now 5. Rifle is heavier than an SKS but feels well balanced.

I've had one for quite a few years now. It is a very nice shooter but is a pain to find ammo. Also if you do find ammo it all seems to be berdan primed and corrosive. RCBS makes dies and I will have to look but I did find a place that was making boxer primed brass. I never did order any, seems to me it was out of California. I never did find any loading info on it though.

Thanks. Found a bayonet already. Just need to get the looseness out of the attachment point.
