Has anyone had any sucess in getting a VZ58 or 858 onto a Form 6 for the US? I think it would be a no go as a VZ58, as that falls into the machine gun class ans is thereby prohibited from import...but what about as the VZ Sport 2003 or whatever it is? Really no different than the VZ2000 that is available for purchase in the US...other than the price!

the VZ 2000 is assembled with a US made receiver.
the CZH 2003s receiver originated from the same place the VZ 58 and the CZ 858s did. therefore completely different then the VZ 2000

The U.s considers once a machinegun ALLWAYS a machinegun the vz58 falls in that it would be a NFA gun down there even with a us made reciever the barrel i think is just under 16" which is NFA weapon too

you will never get approval to bring it down there

Century Arms imports them in to the US but they sell them at the price of an arm and a leg and your first born. I live in the US and it seems only a the big importers can bring them in. I would love to bring in a couple for my own collection. I do have two parts kits for the VZ58 just need to build them up. The VZ2000 receiver is too expensive, I am goint to use this guys: http://www.prexis.com/sten/42.htm

More correctly these guns are seen as foreign made assault rifles. Unless "non sporting" guns have a certain number of US parts in them they are not importable.

It is legal to sell here but it seems very hard to import- Century Arms does it. Just silver solder a long muzzle brake that's it.

Just wondering - in shotgun news, I see the Romanian AK's for sale as well as other milsurps - how do these units get into the US? Wouldn't they be the same as a VZ58?

Hi guys ...New to this board but not new to weapons. The Romanian akm's are imported as single stacks with butthole stocks on them. Century opens up the mag well and adds the right amount of parts to make them ok with 922r . Then they put regular stocks on them and sell them. Can be had for about $ 300 USD . people also build them also from receivers and parts kits.
