Hey guys, just curious what vz58 beaver barf furniture set is worth, without hardware...I don't want to give it away, but don't want it to sit in EE too long.

With Westrifle due to launch there VZ58 clone.. it might interest someone to origanalize their rifle.

Very little if anything. Many people take that ugly sh!t off and throw it in the parts bin.

I just threw mine into the factory box, I keep all factory parts in case I ever decide to sell .

Not much market for the factory barf unfortunatly, specially without hardware.

The hardware is really were the money is at its like 60$+. The beaver barf and hardware is under 100$. I sold a used set in good shape with hardware for 85$ shipped on EE after afew months and never had very much interest.

I'm strange, I like the original look of the bb stock. If the hand guard didn't get so warm, it would be perfect.

Really?? I know they were looking at this maybe three or four years ago, and even had a preorder, but I thought it was long dead. Is this happening again?!?

Dead a long time ago unless they're thinking about something else... don't know why they would be. Wolverine's plans are dead as well. Oops, maybe not:
It is true. I did not want to tell anyone because we are still finalizing production with a company we hired.

Here is picture below of wooden stock one. Soviet style AK wood.

Can't beat real wood on a VZ58. That's how I do it, took that BB sh!t off immediately and I couldn't be happier.

I'd guess 60 for the furniture and 100 with hardware?
I like the beaver barf. It's certainly unique to the rifle. I have one more for the history than the "fake ak " reason

"Beaver Barf" is a lot more rugged than all the fancy stuff found on the web. It is a 1958 military production no nonsense solution for a firearm that was to be handled rough and put up wet.
Did I tell you I like BB furniture?
PP.

Anyone interested in the WestRifle WR762 mode rifle can read about it in their dealers forum on here. Not a lot of info, but what is there is all we get for the time being

So how much you paying for it? I sold a whole set I painted black for $30 a couple years ago. It was just sitting in my junk pile of parts. The metal hardware is worth more than the glued wood particle furniture set. That tiny pistol grip is awful unless you have girl hands, got an extended one on Ebay and stained to match.

I don't leave my VZ58 in mud puddles so my wood that is sealed with BLO will never have a problem.

Nothing wrong with the original furniture. Just because someone came up with an unappealing name for it does not make it crap. I have bought trendy go fast furniture and wound up going back to original.

Nothing wrong with the original furniture.

Nothing wrong with it except for it being ugly and the pistol grip made for a child's hand.

I like real wood and the black polymer furniture (each had or I acquired a larger pistol grip).

If you like it, so be it. Is it worth a lot of money on the EE (purpose of the thread)? Lucky if you get a sale if you put it up there for more than a case of beer. I sold a set of wood furniture w/hardware that I refinished for $240 shipped. That's the difference. Wood looks good and is desirable. It adds a little bit of weight to the rifle and I think it feels more balanced.

I like the look of Westrifle's prototype rifle. Whether it'll see the light of day or be any good, remains to be seen.

Yup and I am 6'4" and do not have small hands.

Some hands are bigger than others, mine are big and wide. I like to fit almost my whole hand on the pistol grip, the stock one is too thin and short for me with 1.5 fingers hanging off of it. I went for better ergonomics, more weight and better looks. It's your rifle, do whatever you want with it. End of the day, stock furniture is worth almost nothing. If you like it and if I ever get another VZ with it on, I'll give it away for FREE when I go polymer or wood.
