VZ58/CZ858 rusty hammer?

What does every one else hammer look like? Mine has always had a sort of red tint to it, almost like slight rust is forming, but it never cleans off. Everything else is good on the rifle.

I ended up sandblasting and parkerizing it today, looks much better. Was just wondering if others looked like that as it was very uniform rust colored tint, almost like that's the color it was from factory.


My AK74 brake makes this thing friggen loud.

I have some red paint drops or something like that on mine too. I think it's from the staining of the wood cuz its defenatly not rust.

Its the type of blueing, The SVT bolts have it too.

DONT sand blast moving parts "you can damage them or cause you trigger pull to be crappy" leave them be, if the blueing wear off its meant too.

Sand blasting a cold blue is the worst finish you can put on a gun. It attracts rust in no time.

You read that it was parkerized after, right? It isn't going to rust any more than the other parts I parkerized.
