I got my vz58 (5.56) back from warranty. It had been denting casings and ejecting 12 – 15 feet, but now is tossing them a reasonable enough 4-6 feet but is still denting the casings.
Is this something to be concerned about?

most semi auot's and full auto will dent the casing. You can still reload em a few times. If your not reloading who cares. Nothing is wrong with your gun. All my rifles dent the casing except my bolt action obviously.

Mine dents the s**t out of them as well. I have even had cases sheared in half with the front half being stuck in chamber. Seems more excessive than what it should be. My ar does not dent them.

Was getting dents in my reloads used in my vz.223. Decided it was due to the rounds being a bit hot. Dropped my charge by half a grain and the dents went away. Accuracy was the same as I'm shooting super cheap projectiles anyways. Still rings steel at 200 with irons, so all is good. Still reloaded the dented cases. The neck never got damaged like I've seen. Just a ding mid case.
