I found the stock side folder not only loose but way too short. I'm not a big fan of having my nose on the reciever cover. Tell me that these are longer and more .... ergonomic.
 
I currently have one installed on my 858 - pulled it out to check for you. Is LOP measured from butt to trigger? If so, its 14.5", with a hard, rubber butt-pad. Locks up very tight, no play at all but I suspect that this depends on each individual folding mechanism. Cheek-weld is perfect for a red dot on one of their railed forends. Safety is easily accessible as well. When comparing it side to side with a metal folder, it is quite apparent that it is an unmodified factory metal folder with polymer molded around it. From all the ones that I've seen, a high percentage of them appear to have been made from slightly used folders. I was told that this is one of the Czech army "upgraded" pieces to tide them over due to the VZ-58 not being replaced any time soon. Oh yeah, yes, I do find it comfortable to use.
