The folding stock on my VZ58 has started to wobble and I was hoping to fix it. I've read that you can fixing by welding it, but I'm not 100% sure where to weld and I can't find any pictures. Has anyone fixed their folding stock wobble?

I think you could tighten the large screw and that should stop the wobble. Don't forget to use red or blue threadlocker and give a day to cure.

I screwed around with it and ended up making it worse, so I just ordered a new fixed stock. It had about 1/4 - 1/2" play in up and down and side to side directions so it was really bothering me. Thanks for the help anyways everyone.

Me too Muffins, it worked well on one of my rifles. I also put a furniture glide felt sticker on the stock screw to cushion the lockup process and give the hinge something to squeeze against instead of steel on steel.

I wish I knew how to upload a photo from my computer to this website, I would post a pic of it.

If your going to buy a folding stock, your guna have a wobble !

Plenty of ways to tighten it up. Id go with the toss it out and get a solid stock option personally.
