VZ58 Gas piston jammed, little help ?

thanks. I may have to do this. Are they the main supply? If I take it to local gun store I got it from would they just handle it all for me ?

Not sure, but CSA will pay your shipping to Movie Arms as well, who does the warranty work for CSA. I wouldn't try to fix anything, just ship it off as is and get it fixed.

So took it into the smith. With a brand new gas piston and even pulled one off a vz they had in stock. It is not the piston...

The gas block has somehow ... Shrunk? Or has been bent/moved. Either way all 3 pistons would not enter the gas block.

He is going to give me a call today with further details .... Any way possible the BC tactical forends did this ?

Problem solved, The BC tac hanguard bent in the gas block a little and created a burr in the port. Cleaned up the inside of port and inked then filed down hand guard to fit a little more loosely.

Glad to hear. You have to be careful when using aftermarket parts. It is easy to force fit and cause unknown damage/movement of Parts and not know until you try using it.

Polish out the inside of the gas port, there was a tiny burr in there grabbing the head of the gas piston. Then make sure your BC tactical hand guards are filed down enough that you don't have to use extreme force to get them on.. should be able to do it by hand like original hand guards.

You can use a steel brush with wire steel wool wrapped around it, attached to powerful drill and a few drops of oil and have at her till she's nice and smooth on the inside.
