vz58 in Modern Military Combat

Vz58's are said to be great rifles, the Czech military has been using them for quite sometime. Also the cz858 is a great rifle in my opinion. The csa vz58 in .223rem is hit and miss from what I hear, pretty sure any of us would love to own a military grade vz58, I sure as hell would.

nope. the ak sight actually is longer and has more unrealistic distance adjustments.

And this is a cool thread. These guys know what works and what doesn't. Interesting to see what they use for their set-up's

Explain 16" AK barrels and 23" RPK barrels. Same design.

An extra 4" of barrel is easy to compensate.

16 inch AK's come with 1mm stamped receivers, 23 inch RPK's come with 1.5mm stamped receivers - put an RPK barrel on an AK receiver and watch the fun. It's like US AK's with bolted trunnions, both bolts and rivets are fasteners, but bolted trunnions are bad news and even using the wrong rivets is bad news. Incidentally, if you have one of the old "non-restricted" 18.5 barrel Chinese AK's, you'll find it was built on an RPK receiver, whereas if you have an old "restricted" Chinese AK it'll more than likely have an AK receiver (they standardized on the RPK receiver towards the end).
