We were trying to get more wood sets but reasonably priced supply seems to be exhausted.

First guy who contacted me was price gouging the stuff you guys sold... I passed on it and later on, found it at a good price. Just have to be patient on the EE and sometimes things work out.

Beats the hell out of the beaver barf for looks that's for sure. Don't really mind the beaver barf that much but if I were to get another VZ(one I have is staying in the BB) I'd make a furniture swap for some classy nicely finished wood.

The wood looks beautiful guys! As a runner up, does anybody know where to get synthetic full stocks, one's that are in the same basic shape as the beaver barf? I'm just not a fan of the M4 styles on a VZ.

$175 US isn't too bad for a newly made, custom VZ58 furniture set from the same piece of wood... I did buy one a few years back from them - it was fantastic. Got the longer and thicker pistol grip and beefier handguards for added strength, it was awesome. Their furniture is actually improved over the surplus stuff (and much nicer). Unfortunately, I sold that rifle. Here's the Ironwood Designs walnut furniture (paid $225 US) for my 858 which was sold some time ago:

I have the Black CZ polymer Upper/Lower handguard furniture and fab defense black pistol grip if anyone wants to buy it. A lot of guys just paint the BB buttstock black and they have a total black rifle.

Not sure what you want... you want an upper handguard with wood furniture? I have a spare upper handguard but I only have spare beaver barf or black CZ polymer furniture for it.

I really like this grip. Keeps the overall look traditional and improves handling.

Kits are pretty well sold out at retailers. Dlask has wood buttstocks and lower handguards, nothing else. Only place I see them pop up is in the EE. CGN member Buttwhat makes custom AK47 lookalike wood furniture for the VZ58 and Ironwood Designs out of California make custom VZ58 wood furniture as well. Comes unfinished and you can complete to your desire.

Ironwood has shipped guys here on the board (including me) their wood furniture to Canada, haven't heard of any problems, other than their turnaround time.

I've acquired a couple other wood sets on the EE, going to refinish them and see which one turns out the best - best one goes on my rifle and the others will go on the EE I guess (or buy another VZ58 ).

Here's a 'shooter grade' wood set installed (Upper Handguard is broken but the tabs are holding it in place), still liking all the flaws, looks like the SKS I just bought. I like the "been through the war" look
