VZ58 Issues - The Saga Continues! See Post 17

Semi autos almost never work right in my experience when they are chambered in a different caliber then they were designed for , Just like 7.62x39 ARs suck , .308 M1 garands suck , even the .223 Aks have issues i hear.. The .223 is a very fast high pressure round a complete oppisite from the x39, a rifle should be designed around the round ..

Yea if you buy junk .223 model that takes junk mags , its STUPID to judge all VZ rifles from this .. The 7.62x39 rifles are great and use great mags, not to mention the Czech military has been using it for over 50 years , I have a CSA and 2 858s in 7.62x39 all have run flawless for years , some of the best money i have spent .. Not sure why anyone would want one in .223 anyway .

The one I have is in 7.62. I don't want to bad mouth CSA, as their customer service is great, but I have had nothing but troubles with my two guns from them.

I need a rifle I can run relatively hard and not have trouble with (and is NR). As such I'm looking a tavor. In FDE. Which is a bit hard to find at this time. I'm also very tempted to import an FS2000, but that is probably a bad idea.

I find the big tuna in OD strangely attractive.

By the time I import one and get it converted to NR it'll cost more than a tavor, and won't have as much manufacturer support or parts availability. We'll see. I hear more FDE tavors will be showing up soon anyways, so I'll probably just wait for those.

CSA is the main reason why USA made firearms STINK! and all should steer clear of them. Get the original and save the headaches like this and that is more than head space issues shown on the op.
