I was fixin' to add an M4 buttstock to my VZ so I bought a CAA buttstock and buffer tube, but I'm really not that impressed... All I'd like is a well made run-of-the-mill M4 style buttstock, but I don't know where to look (not to mention I don't have a lot of experience with the AR platform or its parts, so I don't know what makes one stock better than another). Anywho, I was hoping someone'd chime in with some input. Thanks.

Yep MOE or CTR are defenatly Good 2 Go for the 858's
I have had booth the LMT Sopmod and the Magpul ACS and found that my chin weld wasn't the greatest for fast moving CQB style targeting with red dot optic's so if that's the way you want to go I say do it
Although for the fixd stock still got to give it up for the skeleton poly stock that they sell. I realy dig the feel with the POSP style scopes.
I am tring to convince a local guy to make 1 similar but out of wood & have yet to hear back from him since he came by my house. Guess I should phone him up and see how he is coming along since the LGR will soon be dead and I will need something to comemorate the common sense returning to the government.

First Second and Third photo: where did you get your hand guards? would they fit on the non restricted 858? Are they one piece? or does it have some sort of panel on it?
Second how did u set up the stock. I got the 858 folder and I'm wondering what I need to slap a CTR on?
Third: Your vz is the slickest looking red rifle i've ever seen
1) B.C. Tactical handgaurd set and yes they fit on the NR versions of this rifle.
2) As for my stock adaptor contact Dlask Arms Corp. Then you will have to decied weather you want angled for shooting with irons or straight like mine to use red dot or other different type of optics.
3) Thanx but I got all my idea's from this web site & trust me if your on here long enough you will go broke.
Also the pistol grip Magpul idea I got from Stevo so bug him on how to adapt an AR15 pistol grip to work on the 858 platform.
