Hi all,

I've been web surfin' when I stumbled upon a muzzle brake similar to Marstars.
Well what Marstar is offering simply has holes drilled into key points on it.
The one I saw had two slots milled into the top of the brake.
It's the last picture on http://vz58.com/ under "General".
My question is are there any more styles of brakes out there and is slotted brake better than Marstars offering?
If so, where can one look to purchase one?

JSYK the muzzle brake we offer is a pleasantly heavy, well-machined piece of steel. That said, if you find any other styles for sale anywhere please post pics and information: we'd be grateful.

And I really do like the one you guys have, I plan on getting it, but I didn't know there were different kinds :shock:
 
Remember with marstars brake, if you shoot corrosive you need to take the time to clean it aswell because it will quickly begin to rust.
 
REALLY :shock: I haven't had this problem yet. Give the brake a spray of gun treatment and clean the threads. The non-czech ( Slovakian) brake is excellent, although it is a bit of a pain getting it on without some teflon oil/ or break free and a screwdriver!! :mrgreen:
 
Marstar sells the Slovakian brake (modern military brake). It works extreamly well.
How do you post pics?

Will parts that work on the VZ, work on the CZ 858, (ie: mounts for optics, muzzle brakes, etc...

I think it would be better to have only ano forum about vz 58 or CZ 858 or CZHERMEX 2003 or ...
There are many info and pictures and I think it is useless to discuss twice or more about the same topics.


Slovak muzzle break was compared with two other available design /both czech/ by shooting magazine in Czech republic in semiauto and fullauto mode and with optics and it was the best in all disciplines.
 
It isn't even close to being silencer-ish. it is 2 1/4 in long and about ~1in across. It really reduces the recoil and greatly improves accuracy. Be careful when putting your break on! You need to use teflon or simular lube and a screw driver on it. It is really tight at first. DO NOT TRIM YOUR BARREL'S THREADS :!: TIGHT IS GOOD !

I tested all muzzle brake/compensators on the Czech market, there are about 6 of them. The Slovakian, sold by Marstar, is best of them all. It si just much more expensive than here :D I had the above mentioned problem with corrosive ammo, but all you need to do is remove the original finish, repolish the surfaces, remove ALL!!! rust and apply new finish. And keep it oiled, of course.
