Vz58 or su 16 fx

Honestly, they aren't really comparable, from design day 1 the Vz was intended to keep people alive in terrible circumstances, while the Kel Tec was designed to shoot pop cans. Not even close to the same.

Have a Vz58 in both 5.56 and the 7.62x39. Love shooting both.

Just did the Magwell Conversion on my 5.56 version and going to run some pmags and see how they go!

Emmm keltec plastic receivers cracking and blowing apart when firing are better than a vz metal receiver?
are you high?

What Malice is saying is that the VZ takes every category except "breakability" which is the one category where the su16 wins....

The threads on CGN are filled with more complaints about .223 VZ's breaking than SU 16s...... What does that tell u?

Both are great shooting guns if they last, I own and shoot both, except my VZ is a 7.62.

True re: 223 VZ issues posted. Perhaps the problem(s) were resolved. I recall a couple of them resolving satisfactorily. No experience with the SU16 but a Vz in 7.62 can do this off a bench - no optics / surplus ammo / 50 yards / 20 rounds in this pic ....

I have a VZ in both 7.62 and .223 and I've had a SU16... the VZ is SOOOOOOO much better. Only area the SU is superior is weight, but your trading so much for lighter weight (including longevity) its not worth it. Theres a reason most high quality, long lasting firearms are on the heavy side.

I would also like to say of the 3 VZ58's in .223 I've owned over the past 5 years, every one of them was FLAWLESS... in fact (ill probably get flack for this) I like how a .223 VZ58 shoots BETTER than an AR... It just feels smoother. hard to describe. With an $80 magwel installed you can run 50 beowulf mags and get 15 rounds in there (my VZ's ran the 50 beowulf mags no problem).

A VZ is a gun you buy and keep for a LONG time. An SU16 is a gun you buy, play with, then sell after a little while.
