vz58 question

I was unable to find an answer via the search function. My question is;

Will a scoped vz58/cz858 with decent ammo reach out to 500 yards and hit a 1'x1' gong? Im trying to decide if a second scoped CZ will do the trick or do i need to pick up a bolt gun.

Out to 500 yards will a .223 fly flatter then a 7.62x39?

Charles I might be talking through my ass here but i cannot see it.

1 x 1 ft at 500m I think that would be hard pressed at 300m

It could, but there's are better rifle/cartridge combo's for that distance.

If your rifle shoots 2 MOA, that still gives you a 10" group at 500 yds. Not much margin for error due operator or wind, etc at that distance.

.223 is significantly flatter and faster.

Problem is well finding a scope with enough elevation.

Looking at about 10' of drop at 500m

NO.my cz858 is good for 100m with 3 to 4 '' group,and fail to fire a lot of time
