The rear sight is really two parts.
The bigger part is the sight with all the markings and such.
Right in front of that is a flat spring, maybe a bit smaller in area than a half a dime in size.
You will need a friend for the third and fourth hand and a flat dowel the size of that flat spring in front of the sight.
Push the flat spring against the rifle with the flat dowel.
Keeping pressure on the spring, wiggle the rear sight out.
Have pressure against the spring the entire time.
Take the rear sight, remove the sliding bar from the old one and slide it onto the new one.
Replace it the same way you took it out before your friend lets the pressure go to grab his beer.
