I was thinking of putting a NCStar Multi Reticle Reflex sight from Marstar on my VZ58. Has anyone had any experience with these? Can they handle the recoil?

Any input would be appreciated.

This POS? I've got one and it wobbles and won't hold any kind of zero.

Small Correction from Above

We currently have Burris FastFire red dot sights in stock for $235.00. These are a great little optics and enjoy the significant advantage of an on/off switch not found on comparable Docter optics sights.

Cheers,

That's good to know. Danielle had emailed me the info and I just about choked on the $416 retail. Maybe she mixed it up with a different sight?

The Burris is very good for the price. The Aimpoint Micro is very nice but almost 3 times the price. I'd go for the Burris unless you really want the Aimpoint.

With the Aimpoint you never have to turn it off. It has a 50,000 hour battery life. That's over five years!! I've left mine on setting 7 for over a year now. Usually at the range I have to turn it up to setting 10 but that's usually in bright sunlight. At home you can see setting 7 no problem.

I like the Burris but I'm unsure of how durable they are.

Thanks guys. I think I may try the Burris and see how she does.

I am very happy with mine, just one small thing stands out.

It has an auto brightness feature that I'm not 100% happy with. It might just be all the snow on the range but the dot is generally brighter than I'd like it to. I think I may be able to fool the sensor a bit with something like a piece of window tint.

It's certainly better for it to be too bright than to be too dim.

Oh, and zeroing can be be a bit of a PITA. It has lock screws on the adjustment screws and both have to be loosened to adjust one or both windage/elevation and they are not "click" type. You have to guesstimate or use the supplied card that goes over the screws.
