VZ58 scope mount idea via cantilever

Here's my ugly mock-up of an idea I wanted to share.

Why not make a new ###y receiver cover like the second photo and have it mount onto the cantilever and use a pin to secure the receiver/picatinny mount to the rifle.

It has to be ###y because the cantilever scope mount looks ugly and unfinished. If someone could build one like the second picture I would be all over it.

The new receiver cover will still be removable.

The adapter will still retain it's feature of adding a AR15 stock.

###y mount below. I question its ability to hold zero. The cantilever however has been proven to hold zero by Neitarms.

Ok so someone steal my idea, build it and give me one for free for making them rich.

Otherwise lets hear what you think about this?

I think you are talking about our railed dust cover NEA part number CZ RDC0001, comes with all of the internals (springs and rods) pre installed, which makes it a plug and play unit.

Engineering is already done, its just a matter of running it and right now putting our our sub $1000 AR is a bigger priority.

don't see it on your website. I hope it flows better with the VZ's lines. The original cantilever just looks incomplete.

Sounds sweet! Would this sit same plane as the NEA upper handguard? I'm thinking no as it would be taller due to internals?

blasphemy!!!

Personally, what I'd like to see is a longer version of the cantilever mount with an integrated shell deflector to be able to mount optics with a longer eye relief, like certain scopes.

Now you're really testing the mounts ability to hold zero. It'll be extremely challenging to do that.

I guess I stirred up some commotion. I'd wait at least 6 months. They'll wait til Christmas to release it because they know people are stupid with their money around that time of year.
