VZ58 Short Barrels

i thought i read somewhere that there are going to be short barrels for sale. i tried to search but i couldn't find out who posted it.

if i remember right, they were going to be just till the end of the gas blocks. ~10 inches

anyone else know/remember this?

You are going to be able to buy them, they are going to be in a bull barrel config complete with new gas block.

The first samples are on the machines right now.

How does the barrel drop-in? I though these were pressed into the receiver?

I have spoken to smithtac about this and he has all the equipment for the job and is more than capleble of doing it.

because we are using mill turns in the shop, we will be able to make a unique installation system for making sure the gas block is index properly to the barrel every single time. Even a cave man will be able to install the gas block.

I'm not sure where you were going with this, but allow me to make one observation.

A centerfire semi automatic firearm with a barrel less than 18.5 inches is by definition, restricted. There is no question of these being non-restricted.
