Vz58 Stock Options

Hey Martin!

If it's better price or condition compared to the Flea-bay stuff, I'd be interested. Dlask sold out pretty quick...

How about wood handle bayos?

I really wish there was something equivalent to the Zenico PT-1 AK stock available for the VZ58...

what is the best short length of pull folding stock for the VZ58? I'm on the fence on getting one so am exploring all the options and what that would put me price wise.

I have been looking for the same thing as far as a stock that is inline with the barrel. In my mind, this is one of the things that make an AR look so attractive and it would be great to find a stock that provides an AR style stock without the downward bend. Unfortunately the adapter seems to not fix this issue as per the photos. If anyone knows of other options I would also be very interested in hearing what else is out there. It would be nice to find a solution to this once and for all.

My bad I see what lobster was getting at. Stonewerks seems to offer 4 options, 2 with the factory angles and 2 without. Here are the 2 without.

Type 3 as they call it.
1. http://stormwerkz.com/stock-adapters/vz-58-stock-adapter-type-3-straight/

Type 2
2. http://stormwerkz.com/stock-adapters/vz-58-stock-adapter-type-2-straight/

One allows for M4 styles stocks only, while the other which seems to be a lot more noticeable of an adapter allows for several options. Just make sure that your rifle still exceeds 26" total length if you decide to put a folding stock on it if you want to keep it non restricted.

The thing about inline stocks is you have to raise your optics up higher. Which is fine if you're using the scout mounts, CSA side mount or any of the handguard mounts except the Nea. Or the nea and a higher mount/optic. Inline stock, nea handguards and trs-25 just won't match up.

I just refinished my wood stock for my 11.8". It's a tiny bit higher than original stock but if you keep your cheek back a bit the irons line up no problem. I have the CSA short mount and red dot for on this anyway so height isn't really a concern

Here it is with factory folder

And then there's this one:

(Canadaammo, also out of stock)

I like the price tag of the Canadaammo model, too bad they're all out. The HK looks slick, but aside from the fact that there aren't any left, I'd also wonder if there are comfort issues with the skinny pad on that stock. So a couple of questions:

That adapter is/was made by Rauch Tactical...pretty awesome adapter but I don't think he makes them any more. I have one in great shape that I'm willing to sell, PM me if you are interested.

Thank you very much for the info Lobster_pot. It is good to know that this was done for a reason and why. I guess by changing the stock to being inline with the barrel, the CZ58 is essentially being modified and thus so is the way that this gun is sighted, as this essentially changes the arms platform. Glad to finally know what the available options are, and what making any further changes will entail. Thanks!
