VZ58 tactical mag change.

The one on Palinak's website is the model made by dlask, it sits off to the left side of the trigger guard not what he posted. You will have to ask him if he can supply you with the model shown.

Yeah, so do you operate it with the right index finger then? (for righties)

The one we've developed here you operate it with the index finger for both left and right handed people or you can do AK style speed changes. I will get a vid up hopefully this week of how the new system works including the bolt release. No pics though until development is done and we're into production. :D

So far empty mags have been dropped on the ground and partials into the mag pouch. I just started playing with an Eagle Industries rig and I'm gonna try some dump pouches for partials. Is keeping your empties the new cool thing these days :D?

Less talking, more machining! :D

To heck with it, I'd use stripper clips as often as possible. That way I've always got a couple full mags anyway. Takes about 5 seconds to load 30 rnds into the mag when it's in the gun, probably a minute off the gun. Makes better sense to save full mags for when you need the extra 2 seconds...:p

Uh oh! someones beena bad lil boy:D

Adding a layer of truck bed liner paint will give those mags a lot of grip.

mag change vid

This is pretty rough but I think people can get the idea. The vid was taken with a Mac and for some reason we couldn't get the comp to not flip the image so lefty looks righty and righty looks lefy :p.

Also I'm a southpaw so the righty one looks a little rough cause it is.

later this summer we will do a much more professional vid to take to SHOT with us.

Hopefully this works:

[can't seem to get the embedding to work if someone who is smarter then me can please do]

Pricing is still unknown I'm having the prototypes built in CAD this week and then I go out for pricing, then I figure out the retail price. All I can tell you is this. These parts will be ready by SHOT.

No the mag is held in by gravity due to the shape and locking system. A speed reload is very similar to the AK:

1. Remove new mag from pouch
2. Depress mag release (with trigger finger or new mag) and bump out old mag with new mag.
3. Insert new mag and activate bolt release
4. Back in the game.

If you practice you should be able to do a tactical reload in 4/5 major movements and a speed in 3.

Its much much faster then the way it come from the Czechs.
