VZ58 Trigger Job

I have a CZ858 ( the ones the RCMP seized the first time, lol. ), shoot nothing but DA non corrosive as its just my fun plinking gun.

Oh nice. That reminds me, I just got an email back from Wolverine Supplies about this 858 I wanted to buy with a Spartan insignia (I don't give a sh*t about the 300 branding, I just love CZ the company); they said the RCMP prohibited the last shipment of 300 858s (with the spartan logo). I would've been the proud owner of a CZ as well but I have a CSA.

Do you have a CSA or CZ if u don't mind me asking? What kind of ammo do u usually shoot? Yes, I agree printing groups is boring; I just use it as a monthly gauge to see if I'm doing better with my gear.

It's a CSA with a 16" chromed barrel. I run cheap Chinese corrosive through it. I did get better groups after the trigger job though. If I concentrate I can get even better groups with this ammo. I tried Romanian surplus 7.62 and wasn't impressed.

It's not a rifle for very tight groups but I am happy with my groups. I can hit a 12" gong at 300m with irons all day long and it's much more fun tagging targets on the move. Here's a pic.

She's a beauty, nice set up. U know what I'm thinking of doing to mine? Putting one of those really long AK Zhukov handguards on (requires fitting). I have a full sized 18.6 NR barrel, I think the Zhukov handguard would make it look cool since it covers up a lot of the barrel. Must be nice having a short 16".

I have a full sized 18.6 NR barrel, I think the Zhukov handguard would make it look cool since it covers up a lot of the barrel. Must be nice having a short 16".

Thanks. Actually I think mine is 18.5" too. Whatever the non-restricted length is I always forget lol

I wanted to do the Zhukov front too but decided to not. I like it this way too and didn't want to permanently remove the front metal handguard plate. Post pics when you get yours done I'd like to see. Cheers.

My Russian wanna be CSA... named Vera shes been 2 uneventfull years in the making and is STILL a work in progess, shameful I know.. BUT I did finally decide on a wood stain the other day
May do some trigger work on her aswell, will definitely be adding a over travel stop like I did on my SKS named Sasha, to help with bump firing and other fine acts of trigger control lol
