This gun in 22LR and unlimited mags would be a hoot.

A lot of sidetracking on this thread, but the original question was never answered.....

I like to have 2 versions of my firearms.... a .22 version and the original .... hope to have the .32ACP next month, a .22 version would be cool.

As far as I know, it doesn't exist yet. I've heard rumors, and I'm hoping it comes to light.

If it isn't true, it should be made true.

Seeing as CSA has gone far enough to develop a dedicate vz58 in 22lr, hopefully they will extend it into the 61 platform.

Czech Small Arms is currently manufacturing the vz.58 and vz.61 in calibres that have never been produced by any other small arms manufacturer. The growing popularity of the vz.58 and vz.61 has led to this expansion of new calibres. The vz.58 is now offered in 5.56 NATO and .222 Remington, while the Sa vz.61 is available in 9 mm P.A. Blank, 9 mm P.A. Rubber, 9 mm Browning and 9 mm Makarov. The .22 LR version of Sa vz.58 is in the final stages of testing.

Since it's a Rimfire we could in theory get the stubby versions as non restricted...

The vz68 came with a fixed stock. A NR vz61 in 22lr could be possible without looking heavily altered.

I would take a Skorpian in .22lr if it was non restricted. I think that'd be slick. Especially if it's high capacity since it's a Rimfire rifle.

VZ58 in .22lr is full of win too.

what about the csa 68 bolt action firearms-the 16.1 '' bbl wouldn't be a problem due to their method of operation-would take same 30/5 round mags as S/A version and NOT be restricted??

or would it automatically be lumped as 'variant' by name alone-in spite of its' operation??
