Location
Edmonton
Round count will be roughly
Rifle: 100
Shotgun: 50 Buck Shot/ Bird Shot
10 Slug
Pistol: 120
(These are of course minimums, as the COF's have not been decided yet)

We will classify people for the pistol stages into Production, Standard and open.

This will be a day when you put your pistol on in the morning and not take it off till the end. So with that make sure that your holster will retain your pistol with no problems.

All rifle and shotgun stages are run what you have.

No other restrictions on equipment or ammo. General usage is 55gr .223 and #7 to #4 12 gauge ammo

Anything from a drop leg holster to armor carriers to chest rigs to plain belt rigs with shells in the pockets are good to go.

There are no "club guns" available, however if you bring .223, 9mm, 40cal and 12 gauge someone will let you use there rifle, pistol and shotgun.

Mentioned it to the boss late last week, I might be able to shuffle work around the match... I'll probably mention it again tomorrow when I go back to work.

Really like to give this a try. Talked briefly with Tex and he told me I would be contacted, but if you guys could PM me with any info that you think might be relevant I would appreciate it. I'll be coming from East of Wainwright. Directions to the range? If there is some place close to grab munchies/lunch close by, of if I need to hit a 7/11 on the way? Is start time 8:00? Etc.

KePet,

Go to Spruce Grove Gun Club website. http://www.sprucegrovegunclub.com/ there is a map on here. As for eats, bring what you are going to need. It's 30 or mins end trip to get munchies.

Thanks Tex. Sosa got a hold of me, so I've bombarded him with the rest of my questions. Sorry I won't get to meet you this time around

Looking good for Saturday. A few of us will be at the range Friday around 5 to start setting up.

Otherwise we'll see you bright and early Saturday AM.

Not gonna make it again. Too much going on at work to work around the match. At this rate, I might be able to get out until September, when I book a long weekend for my birthday.

Just like to post a big thank you to all the guys that were there. Had a great time, even if the weather didn't want to cooperate. You made me and the wife feel welcome and like we belonged, and helped the new guy get through it without to many screw-ups. Thanks for all the pointers. I think you all know that I'm hooked already, so you will be seeing me/us again.

Thanks again
Kevin

I had a blast as well. It was great to meet you guys, and I really appreciate the no-stress introduction to what is likely to turn into yet another shooting addiction for me :D

I'll do that again, for sure Just need to buy more stuff now
