Just getting into reloading. I've bought everything I need but for the life of me I can't find powder. I just found 5lbs of W231 but it'll be $55/lb but the time it gets to my door. Should I hold out and find something cheaper? It seems like a popular powder but I'll use anything that will work for 9mm and/or 45 at this point.

Right now, pistol powder is scarce, and when it shows up, it gets snagged very quickly. Of course that means prices tend to go up because of the great demand. So, if you want it, grab it. Otherwise, it will be gone...and at that price.
I paid $28.95 a pound the last time I was able to find W231.
I bought two pounds of HP38 (exactly the same stuff, different package) for $26.95 each in October.
Your price is pretty steep, but then there's been a shortage for a good long while.

a little high but what i would expect in todays market
remember that [powder is the cheapest component of handgun ammo
most loads will give about 2000 rounds per pound so if it cost 10 bucks more per pound whats really 5 extra per thousand rounds??
