If you go & read all the stuff on the website I think you will find that a Luger was the first handgun that the 'smith got placed on his workbench when he was in training. That plus the fact that the supply must still be available over there in the Vaterland.

My Dad was trained as a 'machinist' in post-war Germany too. The story the 'smith on that website tells of having to manually file objects from single blocks of steel is all true. Apprentice machinists had to file completly square cubes from raw steel as part of their training. :shock:
 
So does Questar think they can import them? ;)

I actually like the look of that garand with a DM... and for $800 CAD (not including shipping, import fees, etc) .. the price isn't bad either?
