Wad Fouling Beretta 694 Trap

Go here: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2276684-Ed-s-Red-try-to-make-some

Among the various posts is links to at least two versions of articles attributed to Ed Harris about how to make and store Ed's Red.

The batches that I made up have still not melted through the containers shown in that thread - so far, so good - each are perhaps still 50% or more full. From what I saw mixing acetone with ATF (that is 1/2 of Ed's Red), it would not really mix - sitting on work bench in clear pop bottle, over several days, would see the ATF go down and Acetone go up - so had to be shaken vigorously before using it - at that point looks sort of "pink" - like Milk of Magnesia. I can not see into the Ed's Red with Acetone container - so I have been keeping it capped and shake it again before using it.

steel wool removes the lead or plastic deposits faster ....

But the question is .... will steel wool "damage" the barrel?

Will steel wool create a "polishing pattern" inside the barrel and that will just trap more lead or plastic fouling?

0000 steel wool will not harm the bore in any way.

If you were to rub it on the bluing it would take hours of rubbing before you would see any deterioration in the bluing.
