waffenamt mark on Yugo M48 barrel band

The Yugo M48 mausers were all made post WW2. I noticed a waffenamt on the barrel band of mine. Any idea what this barrel band came off of? Its not from a K98. It has a sling swivel on the bottom as well as the side.

Off of a VZ24 mabey. Didn’t the Germans take over the Burno factory and produce them.

I was thinking that myself...but the WZ29 and VZ24 both have an installation screw to secure the band. This does not.

It is from a 1937 Portuguese contract rifle. If it’s on a refurbished gun, it likely is from a rifle that was never delivered or a spare part that stayed in Germany and was used to various refurb programs post war.
