Due to current events we are considering a new name for this match (I like it )

Tentatively:

This will be a Run n Gun/Kill em all as Fast as you can match

I am planning on a course of fire that will require a rifle then the same course with pistol (max range 100m....may adjust slightly for pistol portion)

If permission can be gained may include shotgun portion (slug only)

The course will be timed with IPSC style timer...Kill all the bad guys/dont kill the 'no shoots' and your time will be your score. Any non-dead bad guys or dead babies and penalty times will be added to your score.

Classes will be:
Manually operated rifles (Bolt/Lever)
Semi auto Old School (SKS/FN-49/Garand)
Semi Auto New School (AR-15/Beretta Storm/PE-90)

Sights...Whatever you like...ranges will be short so irons will be just as good as ACOGs or Aimpoints

Targets...Military Fig12s....Simple tagets with an inner and outer only...easy scoring

Depending on # of participants we may have 'fun runs' after the scored portion to make the club a few extra bucks and allow shooters to redeem themselves(First score is the only that will count)

Any comments or suggestions greeted with enthusiasm

Update!!!
Cost...$15 for any one class...$10 for each consecutive class

CLasses are now:

1. Manually operated rifles (enfield/mauser/pumps/lever guns)
2. Big bore semi auto (Garands/M14/AR10/FN-49)
3 SMall bore semi auto (carbine...SKS/AR15/AR180b/9mm sub guns)
4 Pistol (any handgun that ISNT a .22....preferably auto)
5 Shotgun (slug only....still awaiting permission for this class from range control)

What time would you be looking at starting in the morning? What time do you expect last round down range? Is it a problem getting civilian vehicles past range control?

Probably registrsation between 9 and 10

I really cant guess how long the day will run....depends on how many people shooting in how many classes and how many want to do 'fun runs'

If you are tight for time I will certainy arrange to 'ship' your tropies/prizes(everone wins something at our matches)

Looking forward to shooting with you guys again...it was fun last year!!!
cya then

Last year I didnt plan the match....:D

This WILL be a blast...we have lotsa resources to create a good 'obstacle' type shoot out

As well....It looks like we may get 2 separate ranges that are side by side. This way we can run rifle/pistol portions at the same time

And range control is a 'no biggy'...Pull over...give them your plate number and number of people in the vehicle...

Its easy...they arent watching you...Its just normal procedure...Even the poo sucker guy does it and hes a 'tard

Do you openly welcome someone who has NEVER been in a match of any kind...but has been shooting for years

It would give everyone else someone to laugh at :p

Yes...Absoultely!!

Just like a regular IPSC shoot everyone will get a walk through...Everything is explained...and you will get to watch others do the course of fire first.

As long as you dont shoot yourself or a spectator you cant go wrong

You will need a few mags/stripper clips for whatever rifle/handgun you want to shoot...

It looks like 25 to 30 rds MINIMUM for the rifle portion so far....

Thanks for the info Klunk...I may be asking for some more :).

I can assure you that myself, all spectators

and probably most targets will be safe from my fire :D

edit:

If someone has a pic of the kind of stuff they wear to these things I would appreciate it. LIke mag pouches and stuff like that.

damn nOObs eh? LOL

Barring any problems it appears that we now have 2 ranges...A 100m rifle range and a 30m Pistol range.

SO...there will be 2 seperate 'course of fires' for handgun and rifle/carbine

Still waiting to hear if we can include a shotgun portion (slug only)

I have a big old Buick set aside that the rifle stage will start in...with the shooter inside engaging targets out the window and then 'rescuing' the dignitary in the rear seat (fire rescue dummy...hes heavy)

Alrighty,

The 'official' name is the Wainwright Rifle and vintage match...run n gun...or something

We have recomposed...

classes are now...Manual rifles (bolt/pump/lever action)
Carbine (SKS/AR/M1 carbine)
Rifle (M1 Garand/m14/FN-49/FAL/G3)

This has been done to keep similiar sized/weighted rifles in the same class

Handgun portion is run-what -you -brung (no open race guns)

rifle course will require a minimum of 40rds
Handgun course will require mininmum 50 rds

Shotgun is still to be determined....but if allowed will require minimum 30 rds slug

ARE YOU READY?...STANDBY...
