Wait a minute... XCR questions...

I also bought my XCR for varmint hunting and target shooting around the farm here in southern Ontario,I like the idea of no range trips, although I still need the range for my handguns!:(

I hope that our XCR's STAY UNRESTRICTED, I payed a hair over $2700.00 OTD for mine!

Does anyone actually take their XCR anywhere other than the range? So what if it's unrestricted? So is my Tikka, Savage, SKS, Walther & Remington, but they never go anywhere but the range. My Marlin lever goes in the bush. $2200ish seems like quite a premium just to say "yea, but it's unrestricted"
I'm just curious - I've never seen anyone hunt with their AR180 either.

Not apples to apples but I whack sod-poodles with my SAN. And I could hunt Caribou with it up here as long as I'm North of the treeline.

paid 2400 for my xcr and bought it in the 7.69 caliber, mounted a elcan 1.5x6 scope on it and it is awesome.now i can hunt deer with it instead of varmits.

I took my XCR out on its maiden voyage today; if you were keeping score you would say XCR: 1 - Snow Groundhogs: 0 :)

You live in ###-tario, what do you expect?

Out here in the free world I haven't been to a range in years.

Now now... Sask... I lived for 9 years in Thunder Bay, almost all shooting I did there was done at a gravel pit. I now live in London, not a lot of places to shoot around town (other than ranges), but I often go up to my parent's farm and shoot (near Meaford). Not all of Ontario is Toronto.
