Wait times for EOSC membership?

Does anyone know what the wait time is for the EOSC (eastern Ontario shooting club) membership is, or where I can ask? I applied on the wait list back in May, now curious how much longer I’ll need to wait. (This seemed the best forum to ask in, is there a better one?)

I think that they take new members from September to April only .
Once Signed up to a waiting list, You will be Invited to participate in the New member Orientation as they become available. (On Average. we process between 30-90 Applications each month from Sept. -> March each year.)
 
Ah gotcha. I didn’t read that as “we ONLY take members September - April” but on second reading I think they do mean that.
 
True Jebus how long did you have to wait? Did you end up getting to the end of the waitlist? Where did you go instead, Stittsville?
 
Got my RPAL in June, so wait was June to September.

Left my name on the list and just deleted any messages I got.

Went to Stittsville, but had to wait for a pistol to transfer and the registration to show up. When it all showed up I had a space that weekend in the course. You need your own pistol for the course.

Not a single regret. It's a great club.

Hi, they’re having one on September 3-4 th.
You have to register online before September 2nd.
Limited places
Ok
 
Yep, already registered! I’ll be going with a buddy of mine who was only free later but we’re registered and good to go!

I’ve been a member at both and I can say eosc is hands down far superior to stittsville minus the fact you can buy ammo and guns at stittsville not to mention it’s way cheaper . You say not a single regret but that’s only because u haven’t been a member at eosc

They really do! Given that they’re volunteering their time they have to put an end to things at some point for each year’s membership as things are done on a yearly basis. COVID regs made it hard for all clubs to do large numbers of new member intakes. They have modified their intakes to get as many folks through as they can. If they’re running courses it means they’re not shooting so kudos to them.
It has been a great club over the years and the facilities are pretty good for an off grid club, heated bathrooms, running water and flush toilets! Oh and a range of ranges as well.
A point to note for the new member courses BE ON TIME! If you’re late you will have to wait for another course.
