Wait times for Kreiger?

My 6mm 1-7.5" Krieger was ordered in December and delivered in June.
  • Total wait time 6 months
  • Expected factory production time 3 months
  • (308 expected factory production time 6 months)
Based on my experience, I would guesstimate a 9+ months total wait time.
Note: there is at least one Canadian Kreiger barrel dealer with some barrels in stock for immediate delivery.

We have over 200 Krieger barrels which they advise will ship next week that were ordered in February. We can't stock everytrhing, but are attempting to have as much as possible on hand due to long lead time.

Yup. Same here. Ordered mine First week of January and still nothing. I did get an update a month ago saying that my barrel was finished and sitting in their shipping room.....

I'm not sure I will have any hair left once it arrives.
 
The best estimate you can give yourself if you want to order a barrel and rebarrel is 1 year. You have to plan in advance. That is why you have a couple spares chambered up and 8-10 waiting in your safe waiting to get chambered up.

Wait times for barrels is an issue we are attemting to deal with. The plan is to stock as many barrels as possible. We initially ordered some Tru-Flite barrels from NZ, but our landed cost was $475-$500, so we politely discontinuerd our relations. Next step was to order 250 barrels, mostly Kriegers and about 50 Bartlein and are placing another order with the latter, directly. The Kriegers are manufactured and we are waiting for the invoice and they'll ship soon.

Next week we'll have a spreadsheet showing what we have coming.

We can't have everything, but we'll keep increasing inventory and do our best to actually stock top barrels for target rifle shooters.

Once again Peter shows his commitment to the Canadian shooting community. Stocking 250 barrel blanks is a major investment....

What's a spreadsheet? BTW I am looking for a Krieger half stainless, half 4140 blank in 8mm with a 1-9 3/16 twist. Length needs to be 25.120" and contour a hybrid #6.2. Is this by chance part of your inventory? I am developing a new wildcat by necking up the 7 STW to 8mm...
 
No it is clearly the 8STW.

Can't win them all Peter. Thanks for investing the time and money to hopefully make it more convenient and less time consuming to get top notch American Made barrels.

And just to be fair, Ted Gaillard, in Saskatchewan makes great barrels. :D
 
If Casey at Tacord hasn't sold my stainless 7mm Krieger barrel yet (I ordered it 8 months ago), ask for it. My Tikka T3 Sporter just doesn't need a barrel upgrade. I originally ordered it for my Savage 10BA.

A month ago and still nothing? I wonder if mine is sitting somewhere near yours? It was a .224, I was told 18-20 weeks, its been 35!
