I did a quick search on prices south of the line for a Summit Sporting, they sell in Canada for $3999 and down south the spread was $3995 to $4115. Dollar for dollar they're pretty close but US gun prices are usually a bit less than Canadian prices so it does seem strange that they are that high. Add a $1.35 exchange rate onto the US price and that's $5400 for a gun that we pay $4000 for.
