we're sitting here waiting for the key to the hobby farm we just bought!!!! 100 acres of land. a deer hunting we will go....:D i'm loving the fact that i will no longer have to worry about cutting a tree or limbs off of a tree in a shooting lane, put treestands where i want with out worry about what the land owner will say, atv's leaving ruts. can't wait!!!!

Congrats! I'm jealous as heck!!! Lucky bugger!

It will be really nice to say; "This is the buck I harvested off of my own property this year!"...

Again, Congrats & enjoy!

Cheers
Jay

Nice congrats where abouts is your new farm? you should start planning and scoping out spots for stands winter is a good time to find trails that are used frequenty.....You can also plan and make arrangements to have food plots done come spring.

i have 50 "no trespassing" signs ready to go. another farm i hunt at is the farmer that does the hay in the 30 acres of fields on our property and he has already told me that he would plant whatever i wanted, soy beans or corn!!! yey.:D i was also out on the bike for a ride yesterday with one of my buddies that hunts with me and we couldn't believe the amount of deer sign. i put out my feeder a couple of days before we took possesion and the deer are just hammering the corn. i think i'm going to leave them till next year, it's just too cold for me to go sit in a tree this week. we've brought 6 stands from another farm to hang in the next few weeks for next year and we've found three of the six of the home made jobs on the property.
thanks for the support everybody.
now i just have to set up a nice little shooting lane in the gravel pit in the middle of the property. it's about 30 yards wide and about 250 to 300 yards long!
and i also need to get internet access soon, i'm suffering withdrawls.

Ask him to seed soyabean. Deer love the beans and if ever the harvest for corn is late you will still see them. Ask anyone hunting a cornfield how this year was :(

Usually one of the first things a "city slicker" does when they move to the country.:rolleyes:Usually the water truck shows up shortly after when they learn they aren't on municipal water any longer.:D Depending where you are...good luck finding high speed internet.

P.S. Loose your embedded video...it is tasteless (no pun) and inappropriate on so many levels. (My five year old saw it and I had to tell him it was a candy gun)

actually, on the 3 farms i hunt in this area they all have people that trespass on and off during the year! you have to love when someone that isn't supposed to be there goes walking around during gun season. i'm posting the blurry picture to not stirr the pot.

we're waiting for xplornet to come and setup our dish on the side of the house next week for our high speed access.
this will also be our third house on a well so no water truck coming here.
and as for the sig i'm using, if you don't like it don't look at it. no big deal. it kind of makes me feel warm inside.....:D
oh, and merry christmas everyone.

Think you will find most of these trespassers are your neighbors and have probably been walking though your buddies property for years. Be that as it may, perhaps somebody should talk to them about their walking habits if they are unwelcome....especially during hunting season. Our area (over two hours east of T.O) used to be plagued with hunters of a certain ethnic group, wandering where ever they wanted.
I put the water truck comment up for shids and giggles... used to own a tanker years ago...and did quite well (no pun again) by ex city folk.
Good luck with xplornet...works for some, but not others depending on your proxy to their antenna.
Still find your sig questionable, though admittedly hard not to look at.
