Waiting on PAL/RPAL

So my 2 contacts have already been called (may 11th) and I haven't been contacted yet. checked on line and this is what it says

"Application Received on: 2012/04/02

Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date."

When do i give them a call to try and speed things up? My friends are already planning hunts and i need my pal asap so i can go out as well.
 
As soon as it shows in progress, call in. Mine was 28 days start to finish. I had mine, but was out of country for a few years, and let it expire, however process was still the same. When it shows online as in progress, call. And you should really look before look before starting a new thread, it is the first sticky, "Shorten PAL Approval Times" it answers all your questions. Sorry if I sound like an arse, but it will save you a lot of flaming esp on this site.

I read that one, (not the whole tread as its massive) that's where i found the link. It had conflicting views as the original post said to call asap and bug then as much as possible, whereas later on some people said there's no point because you have to wait a certain amount of time.

I see yours went well though, thanks for the input. I will give them a call tomorrow.
 
call in with your reference number from the rcmp pal status check site. 1 800 731 4000.
quote that number and ask if you may do your RPAL interview, takes about 30 seconds.
once that is completed, wait a couple more days and call your provincial CFO NOT the CFC in Miramichi, NB. inquire the status, they will most likely approve over the phone then just wait for it to arrive in the mail.

Its a slow process however it gets done, just wait until you buy your first restricted the waiting game my friend is not over.

Don't bother with the whole thread. Just the first page. All I did was when it showed in progress, I called to make sure no info was needed. I would say to call them tomorrow, give them the case number at the top of the screen on the online check page, and just tell them both your references have been interviewed, would it be possible to do yours. The wait portion is just the 28 day mandatory one that begins the day they recieve your application. Some provinces have a more convoluted procedure such as Ontario, due to the CFO, ie sending the test results to him, then back to you, here in sask, ours is a little more friendly it seems.

Well i just called, turns out they tried to call me while i was in Vegas. Did the interview, and its all good to go!
 
so now, i live in BC, do i need to call provincial CFO? or will everything get done fairly quickly?

im not worried about the Resticted one, i only took it to have it. just need to get my deer/ bear rifle asap.
