Walking Dead Fail !

yeah any CCW weapon works, pilums and gladius being the period correct weapons, axes were also very common in the legions.

I think the sheild would be the most important part tho, and the knowledge of how to use it properly in formations

imagine a horde running forward onto a phalanx of pikes... easy zombie kabob
 
Sounds like the makings of a pretty sweet movie to me. Find yourself a good choke point and wait for the zombie hordes just like in 300.
 
I pointed that out - and did a quick rewind on the PVR. I was told by the Mrs that I was the only one on planet earth that would notice such a "small" thing. I thought about posting this very thread! hahaha

not to give away any spoilers, but if you read the walking dead comic (which is basically a totally different set of characters and plot line from the series on tv) the characters do something very similar to this

Actually he did the first season of "Strike Back" as a special op intelligence officer, so he has touched one or two guns. The poster who said just turn the logic part of your brain off was quite correct.

in the comic storyline, they are now at the point where they are running out of ammo (its many years ahead story wise compared to the TV show)

and they are trying to figure out how to reload

I cant wait to see how it turns out lol
 
I'll resurrect this thread for another show that has an epic fail. Hunted episode 4, the main character cocks the hammer on a Glock. I had to rewind to make sure the utter failure I witnessed was indeed true. Unfortunately it was :bangHead:

Did anyone catch in an earlier episode when they were clearing out the outside part of the prison. "Conserve ammo" and they are blasting every zombie in sight. They put the muzzle of the handgun through the chain link fence to shoot! I cried at the lack of recoil :(

Ya! I saw this too and had to roll my eyes. If they want to do all this Hollywood sh!t with cocking hammers and clicking safeties why the FARK are they using Glocks?! Is that all the gun wrangler has in inventory or because Glock is a sponsor? They did a similar thing like this in Strike Back too with the Glock.
