I work at Wal-Mart, so take this with a grain (of very possibly biased) salt:
Local outdoor shop (zero dedicated gun shops in a town of 150K+ people

) sells their "cheap" regular Remington .22mag for $10.99 a box, plus taxes. The other Remington was $15.99.
At Walmart, .22wmr Dynapoint is $6.46, PLUS I get my 10% discount. I quite litterally bought four boxes of Dynapoint yesterday for the equivalent of "regular" Remington stuff at the local shop (who also gave me pretty ####ty service, I guess the business debit card and PALs in my hand weren't a sure sign I wanted to buy stuff -

). The first guy actually talked to someone else for a good five or ten minutes - without aknowledging my mere presence at any time - and then just walked away stating to the covering guy he was done his day! Needless to say, I'll try another expedition there shortly, but it seems if you aren't purchasing a gun or appear to be under the age of thirty, they don't give a flying-fish about you.
Our Super-X is 8.50ish. CCI Mag is $9.99 at Canadian Tire.
At my Wal-Mart anyways, I know the people there, and I guess that can help speed stuff up. Not only that, but the two (out of five) sporting associates who aren't too familiar with guns and such know they can page me - and I'll gladly come give a little bit of help.
