Walmart special

Well with the price of ammo these days I thought you AR owners would like to know (at least in my neck of the woods, don't know about the rest od Canada) that Walmart is selling bulk packs (50 rounds) of 45 grain "Varmint" Winchester .223 ammo for like $15-20. Thought you'd like to know, sounded like a good price.

yes but its crap ammo that is impossible to use in a semi-auto. AR will puch the bullet back in the cassing and that could be dangerous

I'll have to rememebr that when I get an AR. Is that because it's low-powered at 65 grain?

nope its 45 grains

the reason its crap are 2 fold

1) its a holow point bullet that bites the feed ramps

2) its not crimped

military gun are good with FMJ ammo that is crimped
