Walnut blasting abrasive?

I got some from Manus Abrasives (101A - 81 Golden Drive in Coquitlam, just off United Blvd.) a few years ago. Seems to be OK.

Oops.... I wasn't blasting with it, just cleaning cases in a vibratory tumbler. But blasting media is what Manus us all about. The PA stuff may even be sourced from them for all I know.

With that walnut media you definitely want to run your separator outdoors running it from the upwind side. But it makes nice shiny brass and it's cost-effective in the big bag.

I use that stuff mixed with corn cob (lizard bedding from the pet store) with some NuFinish and a handful of old cotton sheets/T-shirts cut into 1-2” squares. If I remember I got that recipe from Henry at Budget Shooter Supply. Comes out looking new.

I use it. Fine enough that it won't get stuck in the flash hole.
Too bad you are not in my area, could have sold you half a bag or so at cost.
PA bags are so big, I'll never use it all since most of the brass gets tumbled wet.

Yes - and add Brasso brass cleaning solution to it to help with polishing. I also put a layer of Saran Wrap on over top of my Lyman Tumbler..wife has relegated that operation to "Garage" Only.

Yep works good. As stated above throw a bounce dryer sheet in there to collect the dust. At work we had some plastic media for the blaster it worked well also . Didnt polish it as nice but just as clean and less dust.
