walnut media

has any one had the problem of the walnut media caking up on the odd piece of brass..
for some weird reason ..there is two pieces of brass that seem to attract and have the walnut dust stick to the outside of the brass

Throw some cleaning patches or some Bounce sheet in your tumbler. They will collect the dust from the media.

I have this problem as well but I thought it was because of the brasso gunking up

Happens to me only when I use more than a capful of Nufinish or when I dump it in.
If a cartridge gets a load of polish, it won't come out by itself.

I've always used Brasso because one time my mother gave me 16 cans of it (don't ask) and it works awesome. I'll run out probably in a year's time, I'll check out this Nu-Finish. Does it stink?

To get the dust off my cases after tumbling, I put a dry rag in my tumble style (RCBS) media separator after I get the media out of the cases and tumble them with the rag for a few turns.

i had these same two pieces of brass in drum for 4 loads now..they are getting getting more crud per load on them....
i,ll just call them my crud collectors and keep them in the drum

i dont have a clue as to why it works but it does..
so thats my story and im sticking to it

Nufinish has no bad smell, the ammonia in Brasso stinks.
