Walnut on Danish Garand?

The big question is does the serial # stamped on your Beech stock match the serial # on your receiver?
If the numbers do not match then do not worry about swapping the stock to a walnut. If they match ,then I would not do it.
There were Danish Walnut stocks that were converted from USGI and Italian wood with the dime size hole in the end of the grip. This hole held a stock disk that was a washer engraved with something and was held on by a screw. Someone was making repros of these here in the states just to plug the UGLY hole in the wood. I believe they were a brass washer and a brass screw.
I bought a set,I am not sure if I still have it or not.
I found it in my Italian/Danish box of parts. It is a brass washer marked : H. V I on top and 77 on the bottom.

The Danish Navy guns were the best of the Danish imports overall. Most of them appeared to be almost un-issued after the US re-built them. There were a number of Beretta M1's that were totally complete in un-issued condition. The serial numbers I got were pairs of 1 2 and pairs of 1 2 3 number groups. I also got BMR's the same way.
