Walnut/ Stainless- is it a nice mix?

I like wood and SS.

NAA.

Back when Winchester had their custom shop going I was giving serious consideration to a 270 win with a stainless, tapered full octagonal barrel, with a nice walnut featherweight stock. Oh, I almost forgot, it would have been left handed. IIRC, the cost would have been around $2400. Kind of sorry I never got the money together to order it.

:(

My Ruger 77 mkIII ss came with a gray lam stock which looks real nice with the ss but I wouldnt mind a nice piece of walnut on pretty much anything. Makes the look all on its own no matter what the gun is made of. Cant think of anything that wouldnt look good with a nice piece of figured walnut on it. Good thing they stayed away from the Tupperware folks.

Beautiful. I'm gettin' all misty...... I love the .250 Savage and the Number One as well. In line with always wanting Option C, I'd be most happy if the Number One were a .250.

Kilo...
That combo is up next for a Lipsey Ltd. Edtion run...It is suppose to be out in 2009 but so far no soap...

The "stainless/walnut" combo is my favorite....

I've got a stainless/walnut Model 70 in .375 H&H that I didn't need, but had to have when I saw it up for sale.

When I decide my son's old enough, there's a 700 CDL/SF in .30-06 that I've tucked in the back of the safe for him. He's only 16 months old right now, so thats a ways off. I put a VCI gun sock on it , then ran it through our Foodsaver.

rest

That is a 69kv powerline ceramic insulator - not likely used as a shooting rest! He cut away part of it for a .... photo rest? Look near the wood blocks there's a full insulator not cut away.

guns

By the way, they are beautiful guns. I have a dark brown, laminate stocked Winchester 'Coyote', stainless barrel in 7WSM - a tack driver.
