Walnut stock for M1A

Boyds are no longer offering the unfinished M1A stocks, only the finished one which can not be shipped to Canada because of the $100 limit. I have purchased the finished one in the past when they had a 10% discount for the July4th holiday.

A follow up question re Boyd's stocks. I am in the US at the moment and I am going to order the Boyd's finished stock for my Noriknco M305. How difficult is it to fit the chinese rifle into this stock? Also, I looked but could not find on their website a forend to go with the stock. Will the oine that came with my Norinco fit the Boyd's stock?

Hello; I have recently made a purchase of two Boyd's stocks , and I can assure you that Boyd's will not ship to Canada. However they had no problem shipping to an address that I use close to the border at a UPS depot just acrosss the line. They don't have an unfinished stock, so you are S.O.L. if you don't go get it yourself. All I had to do was a little relief work to the stock along the right side of the receiver, just below the OP rod channel for about an inch and a half. Easy with a good file and a small sanding block, if you take your time. The stock its self is over sized and a little chunky on all outside dimensions, but the rifle is a drop in and looks really nice. Hope this helps. GW

100 dollar limit before shipping.
last week i got a factory seconds grade 3 unfinished and both handguards unfinished for under 110 USD.these pics here after 3 coats of BLO.
today i ordered a factory seconds grade 1 finished and both handguards finished for 75 plus shipping!that will set you back just shy of 120 USD to your door.
NO metal is included but i do believe the order i just made comes with a buttplate.

i think i picked up the last seconds grade 1 finished.--sorry i jumped on it,keep checking every day in the "crazy deals" section.

So the consensus is that Boyds will no longer ship even unfinished ones, for some reason. Has anyone asked these guys why? thats a poor business decision IMO

You are talking about the M1 Garand, correct? I was talking about M14/M1A. Just noticed you had two hand gaurds.
 
yes it's for the garand.sorry about the confusion.i do see the cheapest m1a stock is over the 100 buck limit.
i really don't know why boyds charges just over 100 for that stock.i guess they don't want the hassle of "international orders".
my advice is check every uday for their crazy deals and you may pick up a seconds for under a hun.
gunshows can be good catch.a couple months ago i picked up a usgi stock painted black with a plàstic cheek riser on it(screwed in place)
for like 15 bucks.
it's not for sale sorry.
check out treeline m14.maybe one day they'll have more m1a stocks.
