Walnut Stocked SR 22 (Pistol grip added post #24)

Its like the beautiful off spring of two of my favourite rifles; the FN C1 and the SR 22. Excellent job. If you are up to it, I would try adding a wooden pistol grip.

Thanks, too many hours of elbow grease to make it profitable. It feels so much nicer then my other one and it half pound lighter

Wow. Now you have an ex-assault weapon (insert sarcasm here). Looks great. I wish more modern sporting rifles looked like that. It might help change the opinion of what some people think of them.

By curiosity, why did you use a castle nut rather than A2 style mounting?

This was my 1st time doing this, all I had was a picture to go by and all I had was the receiver tube that come with gun. I guess I could have left the nut off.

You did what looks like a sweet job. You made a rifle I didn't have the least interest in become a consideration. Great job and keep it up. You clearly have some talent there that should be explored. Again, great looking rifle!

Looks great. A little taper toward the front would streamline it a bit though.
