Hey, just wonder if anyone knows whether Walter from ArmsEast is around these days?

Submitted an order on Jan 10th, received order confirmation, but still haven't been charged for my order, so I am assuming it hasn't shipped.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Great guy to buy from...I'd assume that the SHOT show has slowed your order up. Wouldn't worry about it :)
 
retailer don't usually charge your card until they ship the product, and can take up to 3 days before it will show up on your online statement.

I wouldn't worry about it until you gotten charge and nothing shows up after a week. but a two minute phone call would probably answer your question lot faster ;)
 
Walter is good to go. He gets pretty busy at time so don't worry. His service has always been excellent with me and I have recommended to all my friends/acquaintances to go to him for AR related stuff. All of them are very happy with his service.
 
At a match this past weekend, I heard Walt may be having some family issues. Don't know if it's health, or a death, or even if there's any truth to this. Just passing on what the grapevine is offering.
 
If he's like everyone else in the business he just got back this weekend from the SHOT show and came home to a full voice mail, fax machine out of paper and an email account that's over his limit so he can't send and clear it out but is still receiving.....usually multiple emails from idiots like me sending a note every couple days saying "where's my stuff...". Give them a few days and they'll get caught up.
 
Thanks all for your responses...I trust I will be hearing from him promptly. Definitely didn't want to start a major rant, since I know MANY people here have had excellent service from him. Thanks again...
 
Hi Mac, your order is now out. Thank-you and sorry for that delay.

I was away, has to leave SHOT early to deal with a death in the family, just back to work Friday, catching up on comms now. Most orders did ship in my absence, but there were three or four orders awaiting finalizing and shipping, and messages are definitely behind as these get out.

The good news is that we have two new employees starting Monday of next week for phone calls, customer service and shipping ONLY. Previously there was only one person doing this job and me pretty much manning the phones. We've been down a staff member for a bit now, so I'm looking forward to removing a couple of the hats I've been wearing.
 
Hi Walter, I hope you are well. A death of a loved one is always difficult.

For hearing this sad news all the way down here in Kitchener/Waterloo, man, :) you're a popular guy. That says a lot about a man.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss.
